We collaborate with the Brain Center of Miami for programs for patients and caregivers with a goal of improving care and decreasing hospitalizations.

The Brain Center is a Neurology specialty healthcare provider offering clinical and support services to patients, their families and caregivers.

Rock Steady Program

Rock-Steady is a well-recognized, non-contact, boxing-based fitness program for people living with Parkinson’s. The Brain Center offers its own licensed instance of RSB to the Parkinson’s community which emphasizes

  • balance, core strength, and gross motor movement

  • impacting range of motion, flexibility, posture and gait.

UTI Prevention

To help our patients avoid the ER, the Brain Center provides patients at risk of UTIs with an at home testing kit. If the results are positive, a urine sample is collected and sent for immediate analysis. Urgent Care or our physicians can then prescribe the appropriate treatment helping the patient avoid unnecessary complications.

Alzheimer's Caregiver Course

Our licensed healthcare professionals are teaching the Caregiver about the various stages of Alzheimer’s as well as:

  • Prevention & redirection techniques to help manage difficult behaviors

  • Practical hands-on methods of caregiving and tips for assisting with activities of daily living

  • Stress reduction techniques to help manage Caregiver stress

  • Experience Dementia Live™ which is a simulation of life with Dementia/ Alzheimer’s.

Care Coordinators

Our Social Workers work to improve Quality of Life. Services available include:

  • High quality comprehensive and coordinated neurology care.

  • Helping to reduce emotional, physical, and financial stress through education, social service programs, and community resources.

  • Improving quality of life and helping to maintain our patients’ independence.
